GREETINGS DEAR FRIENDS
There
are many exciting events taking place this month, including a Bhadra
concert, a Nia/Sound workshop, chanting opportunities and an Ecstatic
Love-making workshop from my friend, Glori Beldorai - I'd love to see

Most of us are aware, to some degree, of the amazing changes that are
happening to this planet and its residents. The next few newsletters
will feature a series of articles designed to help better understand
these changes.

UNDERSTANDING THE SHIFT - Part 1

Almost
everyone is aware that enormous change is upon us, even if they are only aware
of climate change. Although there is no doubt that global warming is affecting
the earth-changes, there are many other enigmatic phenomena, such as an
increase in seismic activity, solar flares and anomalies in the rest of the
solar system that are harder to explain. The next few newsletters will offer
some alternative explanations, which will hopefully enable us to better
comprehend what is happening. Although many of us understand the Shift in an intuitive
way, a left-brained, logical understanding is also very useful in bringing us
balance and solidifying our beliefs.
A
deeper understanding of this, and many other mysteries is possible if we can
shift our perspective with the notion that everything in our collective reality is made
from the same stuff - something that we call 'energy'. This is a concept
that was well known to the ancient sages and, in the wake of Einstein and
quantum physics, is being embraced by the scientific community. The famous
equation, E=mc2 suggests that all matter is a manifestation of energy, that
what appears to be solid is actually an illusion. Quantum physics recognizes
that creation is non-solid and non-continuous, that it is expressing itself in
very rapid short bursts of light/energy called 'quanta'.
The mystics take this
a step further, saying that matter, light, information, sound, and even thought
and emotion are said to be forms/expressions/manifestations of energy,
measurable in wave frequencies. Even the non-physical aspects of reality are
manifestations of energy. Seeing things from this perspective will help us to
understand what is happening to our reality and thus help us to be better
prepared for the imminent changes.
Future
segments in this series will talk about many concepts relevant to these
changes, such as astrology, consciousness, electro-magnetism, symptoms of
change, etc. What is astrology? How is our relative position in the cosmos
affecting life on Earth? How are the changes affecting our consciousness and
how is our consciousness affecting the changes? How are we experiencing the
changes in our day-to-day life? How can we prepare?
The
most important thing to remember as we address this great mystery is to hold on
to our vibrations of love, joy and compassion. There is nothing to fear,
everything is proceeding as it should.

The healing process involves a
balancing of the left and right brain - an understanding that bridges the gap
between knowledge and experience. This workshop offers 2 complimentary
perspectives and is divided into 2 segments:
SACRED GEOMETRY, SACRED
NUMBERS:
10:00 AM TO 12:30 PM
This segment willinclude a slide presentation and lecture on Sacred Geometry and Sacred
Numbers, which can be thought of as 'languages' by which we can better perceive
our reality and recognize the ordered design that underlies creation. This
information is presented in an easy and entertaining format that will help us
to understand the 'blueprints of the universe' in both a left-brain, logical
way and a right-brain, intuitive way. This new perspective will enhance the
transformational power of sound and its capacity to heal, to open up the heart
and to attract abundance.
SACRED
SOUND WORKSHOP:

The
ancients understood the power of sound. Today more and more people are
discovering that the use of sound is a joyful way to affect health, stress
levels and mental attitudes. Spend the afternoon in a beautiful environment,
enveloped in Sacred Sound. Learn to use your voice to affect your health,
stress levels and mental attitudes. Enjoy this introduction to the ancient art
of overtone singing. The soothing tones of the crystal bowls will
massage your spirit and carry you into a meditative trance. Learn about the
power of mantra and chanting from a variety of cultural
traditions. We will create a frequency of love, peace and gratitude to heal
ourselves and to send out to the Universe.
*No
previous musical experience is required.
